Lauren, a Detroit native, now living in Fort Lauderdale, FL built Outlast Audio after lonely nights and tears behind closed doors became all too familiar.
Like so many of us, Lauren spent much of her teenage years looking for belonging. After high school graduation, her eyes were set on her dream college, in hopes that the dance team, nursing school and endless time with friends would fill that void of unbelonging. That dream was soon crushed when she was deferred from that dream college, she froze in her dance team audition and went on to be denied from nursing school three times.
She spent the next couple of years searching for belonging in all of the wrong places. From the outside, it looked like she had it all together, but behind closed doors, she was suffering in silence. Outlast Audio was born out of the desire to find you in the midst of your “closed door moments.”
Lauren went on to surrender her life to the Lord. She transferred schools, graduated nursing school with honors, cheered professionally in the NFL for both the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys and most importantly, married the Godly man of her dreams.
Now, she is on a mission to help those suffering in silence and determined to bridge the gap in the mental health field. This lapse – from the time someone feels something to the time they can receive professional support – has left so many feeling isolated, helpless and struggling alone.
She has designed Outlast Audio to be the place you can turn to in the middle of these moments. She wants you to know that you never again have to face those times alone.
“It really has never been about finding belonging, but outlasting what is between you and the purpose God has for your life.”
